It’s a call of duty and the soldiers have responded! All Star Fight: World Soldier has assembled some of today’s most recognized Muay Thai and kickboxing world champions from the Royal Thai Army. These men of honor will come together for a night of explosive action in Bangkok at the home of the Royal King’s Guard 2nd Cavalry Division.
Eight matchups have already been confirmed for the 9 March show. As highlighted in an earlier press release, global fight superstar, Buakaw Banchamek will star in the main event bout against Russian kickboxing champion, Artem Pashporin. In another highly-anticipated match, Superbon Banchamek will join his mentor on the show and take on European Muay Thai champion, Luis Passos.
Passos made a memorable appearance at All Star Fight 3 when he clashed against Muay Thai hero, Buakaw. The Portuguese fighter stepped up to take the fight at 4-day notice when original competitor, Niclas Larsen, pulled out due to skin infection. While he suffered a defeat via unanimous decision, Passos was able to go the distance. He gained the respect of the fight community for coming in at such a short notice to meet one of the best in the sport.
Like Passos, Superbon will return to make his second All Star Fight appearance since his stunning KO victory on the promotion’s 5th edition in Czech Republic. He has collected a 6-fight winning streak over the past 1 year including the single-night 8-man tournament on Enfusion Live in Abu Dhabi. At the coming World Soldier event, Superbon returns to his roots as he fights on home turf against Passos for 3 rounds of full Muay Thai rules.
With Passos returning to prove himself once again and Superbon defending the country’s honor in front of a home crowd, this has all the makings of an all-out war.
All Star Fight: World Soldier will take place on 9 March in Bangkok city. Other than Buakaw and Superbon, Yodwicha Banchamek, Superbank Mor Rattanabandit, Fonluang Sitboonmee and Spencer YokkaoSaenchaiGym will also make their fight appearances on the show.
The event starts at 18:30 (local time) and admission is free.
